Circular Quay
Sydney Cove was the landing site of the First Fleet on January 26, 1788. It's where Circular Quay is located today and harbours the city’s main ferry terminals. Circular Quay is surrounded by many of the iconic sites and attractions the city has to offer, such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour and The Rocks precinct.
With ferries coming in and out throughout the day and evening, you can hop on and ride across the beautiful harbour to areas including Watsons Bay, Manly, Taronga Zoo and Mosman. Many locals use the ferry system for their daily work commute.
This historic side of town used to have a tram system in place which is in the works of being reborn again. Construction commenced in 2015 to relieve bus congestion which will run Circular Quay to Central Station and onwards to Anzac Parade. Trains from the above ground railway and buses at the ground level entrance also run regularly linking into the City to the Eastern Suburbs and Sydney Airport Terminals.
