Darwin Wharf
Darwin Wharf or Stokes Hill Wharf holds great historical significance in the city of Darwin. There have been three wharves built in the precinct. The first in 1885 which collapsed due to a cyclone and clams eating away at the timber. Then the second wharf built in 1903 was partly damaged by the 1942 Japanese bombings. Finally, the third wharf which still stands today opened in 1956.
