David joined Quest as the Chief Operations Officer in July 2019, bringing over 30 years of experience in hospitality management, having held senior corporate and strategic management positions in various locations across Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific. David has extensive experience working in both hotel and resort operations with expertise in operational capability and excellence, asset management, wealth creation, strategic alignment, concept development and cultural change. Prior to working at Quest, David held senior leadership roles with InterContinental Hotels Group and Hyatt International. David is currently an elected member of the National Council with the Accommodation Association (AA), Board Advisory member for the Tourism, Transport Forum (TTF) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). David graduated from the University of Newcastle, Australia with an MBA at Cornell University being certified in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management.

James joined Quest Apartment Hotels in 2013 as the General Manager of Growth & Capital Strategy. James is responsible for transformation & integration, as well as network planning, origination and oversight for project design and delivery. Prior to joining Quest, James worked with global financial advisory group Rothschild & Co. as an Associate Director within the Investment Banking division, both in London, and most recently in Melbourne. Prior to joining Rothschild & Co. James worked with Ernst & Young, within its Corporate Finance division. James is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant’s and is the Deputy Chairman of the Property Council of Australia, Hotels division.

Kamal Atal joined Quest as the Chief Financial and Commercial Officer in May 2021. In his financial capacity Kamal is responsible for financial diligence, corporate governance, and works closely with the lending community in supporting the growth of franchisee network. In his commercial capacity Kamal works closely with the growth team in evaluating the proposed growth opportunities and support the Franchisee operations and existing franchisee network with opportunities of value creation. Kamal holds over two decades’ experience in the finance sector in hospitality and luxury travel sector, having held senior positions for Hyatt Hotels in Middle East, Vietnam and India, and with Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours in Australia as General Manager of Finance – APAC before joining Quest. Kamal graduated with Honours in Bachelor of Commerce (Management Accountancy) and his Masters in International Finance and Applied Economics.

Anthea is the General Manager of Sales at Quest. Anthea joined Quest in 2012 and throughout her tenure she had lead the following business functions, the Customer Contact Centre; the National Account Team and the Pre Opening Team. She has been tasked to lead the sales strategy for the group , drive alignment, collaboration and innovation across the network to ensure that Quest Apartment Hotels continues to be the leader in the extended-stay corporate market.

David is the General Manager of Franchise Operations at Quest. David joined Quest in 2009 as a Franchise Support Manager supporting 25 properties in Victoria. In late 2011 he took on the role of Franchise Establishment Manager to develop a new franchisee selection program in addition to leading the Quest Academy Team and pre-opening sales program. Currently, David maintains oversight of our Operations Business Unit, including Franchise Establishment, Quest Academy and our Franchise Relationships Team. David is a member of the Franchise Council of Australia.

Paul joined Quest as the General Manager - People & Strategy in April 2020. With extensive experience in hospitality and a people and strategy career spanning almost two decades, Paul brings to Quest Apartment Hotels a passion for shaping people and culture solutions to drive commercial outcomes. Our People are critical to our success at Quest.

Mr Dennis Tuan-Mu is Quest's General Counsel. Dennis brings over 20 years of legal expertise having advised some of the most renowned public and private companies in the world, coming to Quest following an eleven-year tenure with Delaware North – a global leader in hospitality and food service management. During this time, Dennis held the role of Head of Legal & Compliance APAC and was recently awarded the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Lawyer of the Year.
